Let me tell you all about my newest friend - Chronic Nausea. It started about 2 weeks ago. Woke up to it. Not terrible managed to shower and get dressed for work. But once I got on the train. <UGHHHHHHH> I literally had to get off. Theres no vomiting involved. Just 100% Nausea in its truest form. Ginger-ale. Saltines. Ginger Candy. Herb Remedies. Tried just about everything. Waiting to see if my doctor will prescribe me something but also don’t want it to mean something more. Because when you are in Kidney Failure - Everything is a Thing.
I can’t believe its February 1st. I also can’t believe everything that has happened in 2019 already. I want to send a big shoutout to everyone that has been reposting/sharing/emailing my story. It’s very overwhelming. I have been reminiscing about when I was first diagnosed with Kidney Disease. I was a freshman in high school. I just remembered a random fact. The school nurse was my next door neighbor. NO literally. She lived in the building next door to my childhood home. When I was diagnosed she offered to take to me to school everyday and would also bring me home. I remember I had to get permission to carry around a water bottle. I went to a catholic high school - you needed permission for everything and we wouldn’t want other [healthy] people to feel like I was getting special treatment. I know thats a completely random story but I have been thinking about this journey. This 24 years of fighting and all the people that helped me along the way. Who went out of their way to help me. And if you are reading this and wondering if you can still help…the answer is YES. Please share my story. There are hundreds of thousands of people just like me that are waiting for a life saving transplant. They are not being seen or heard.
